Hudson Automotive Repair & Service fixes RVs and vehicles with careful checking.
The team finds the real issue and repairs it using safe and simple methods for daily driving and travel needs.
Hudson Automotive Repair & Service works on RVs, vans, trailers, and general auto repairs in Highland, NY. The shop is at 3441 US Hwy 9W and helps drivers dealing with sudden breakdowns, warning lights, weak brakes, or vehicles that don’t feel right on the road. With over 10 years of hands-on experience, the focus stays on finding the real cause instead of guessing parts. Many vehicles come in after repeat issues or quick fixes that didn’t work, so each one gets a full check before any repair starts. This helps avoid extra cost and keeps repairs more dependable in real driving.
The work covers engine trouble, brake issues, wiring faults, overheating, and regular maintenance. Every repair aims to bring the vehicle back to normal driving without the same problem coming back again. When the vehicle leaves, the goal is simple: it should feel safe, smooth, and ready for daily use or long trips without pressure.

Full vehicle check first
The whole vehicle is checked before starting repair work, so the real issue is found without guessing.
Only needed repairs done
Only the damaged parts are fixed or replaced. Working parts are left as they are to keep things fair and simple.
Easy problem explanation
The issue is explained in simple words so customers clearly understand what went wrong and why it needs fixing.
Safe driving is the goal
Work continues until the vehicle feels smooth, stable, and safe again for normal road use.
First, the vehicle is checked inside and outside. The main problem is noted along with when it happens.
Engine, brakes, wiring, and other parts are tested separately to find hidden issues that are easy to miss.
Only faulty or weak parts are fixed or replaced. Good parts are left untouched.
A road-style test is done to make sure everything runs smooth and safely before handing the vehicle back.

We drove down from Connecticut to look at an RV we were considering purchasing and needed a last-minute pre-purchase inspection. When I called Joe and explained our situation, he was able to fit us in quickly. He performed a very thorough inspection of the RV and took the time to explain everything in detail so we fully understood the condition of the vehicle. His professionalism, honesty, and willingness to help us out on short notice were greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Joe and Hudson Automotive Repair and Service to anyone needing RV or automotive service. Thank you! I was at a loss on where to begin, it had extensive water damage and needed a complete overhaul. They replaced my subfloor, installed custom cabinetry and countertops. I was looking for an off-grid power setup with no knowledge but the team helped me select a solar system and power storage option to suit my needs. Looking forward to working with them on the next phase of interior design features later this year after my summer tour ends.Posted on Google Lisa CzajkoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joe is a gem saw me on the side of the road at a Mobil gas station and offered me assistance with a flat tire. He took time out to put the spare on and I followed him back to the shop and he fix my tire and got me back on the road and he would not take any money from me. He was a true angel in my time of need and showed me that there are still good people in the world. Definitely a trustworthy place to go.Posted on Google Eddy OspinaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great job!! We bought a Toyota Sienna with a ramp, slightly used, and it has needed extensive work/modifications, so it can be driven by someone sitting in a wheelchair. Joe is an absolute expert with all things Braunability (certified dealer), unlike EVERY other mechanic we tried before. My husband’s van works perfectly now - thanks Joe! Highly recommend.Posted on Google Salahdeen Temitope MustaphaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I just wanted to share my experience again with regards to my father‘s handicap accessible van that I sent to Hudson automotive because I was completely comfortable and confident with the work that Joe and his extremely competent and knowledgeable Technicians that he has working for him there. My father‘s van had problems with the ramp coming out and the automatic sliding door getting jammed every time I try to open it so I took it in to the shop and not only he completed the work and resolved all my issues with the van, he didn’t charge me anything because he told me that it wasn’t as bad as he initially thought and didn’t require much work because it was basic rewiring of the control unit that opens and closes the door and replacing three fuses with the appropriate resistance so they wouldn’t keep burning out as they did prior any work being done. What a great feeling it is to know that there are still some good honest people out there because he is definitely one of them because if I brought it to any other shop, they would of definitely charged me at least the two hours of labor even though Joe told me that it took 45 minutes for his Technicians to repair the issues. That being said, I will never go anywhere else to have my cars looked at.Posted on Google Nancy OTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joel helped me with a transmission issue on my handicap accessible van and I had a great experience. He understood how important the van is for my family since I use it to drive my uncle around. He stopped what he was doing to take care of my situation right away. He completed the repair in one day, which made a huge difference for us. He was professional, respectful, and easy to work with. I highly recommend this shop and truly appreciate Joel’s help.
